| After looking at the sink shot (setup) I couldn’t help but notice the irony
in having the filter device on your tap. It’s probably helping filter out all the byproducts from the manufacturing process of all the camera and computer equipment that’s being used to make a high-speed shot of the water in the first place. Hmmm. Too much time on our hands.

| hi, I was searching for high speed photography, this tutorial helped me a lot. It is very basic and understandable, even for me :) (I am very new in photography)
I checked also your other photos; it is inspiring to see how a mechanical engineer do so good on art. Thanks a lot!

| I used to have all my info on how to do waterdrops after painstakingly working on many . and you know how many thousands of photos you take just to get 5 that are acceptable. I have searched for info that was simply said. Thank you so much for explaining and jogging my memory. I have spent the last four days messing with water drops and ony have gotten a few that were even acceptable but I am not getting all of it in clarity. :) Nancy | |

Also I do not have a SLR so you might want to revise that part. I have a Canon Powershot Pro1. I owe you one, You just added Value to my Camera Thanks. E-ville81

| Thank god He made me stray here...lol! I am a beginner though I have always loved photography (and I so love the water drops subject) plus I do not have a decent camera really, I am just one "trying hard" soul to improve what I like best to do in my 24-hour day life...take pictures of anything including water stuff. Your tutorial on high-speed macro photography is awesome and a great help truly. And I can't wait for my new camera to arrive ( FinePix S8000fd, a better one this time as I am just using an HP RSeries compact digital camera) while my poor little camera is over worked too, lol! Your page is very much appreciated :) God bless! | |

| This is great I'll be giving it a go. Thank you 4 sharing the proceedure. I hope U don't mind if I borrow this idea 4 one of my major project. "Water" This is what I had in mind, but lacked the 'how 2" bit. Also I have limited resources. But thanks again.I have U on my favourites now. Look foward to seeing more of your work. It is greatly appreciated. | |

| Hi Mike,
I just bought a DSLR camera (Sony A100). Originally, it was because of the birth of my son but once I started to notice the features and just how much better my pictures look I decided to start taking pictures as a hobby. I haven't taken any classes what so ever, but I found your web site to be very useful with your examples of macro photo's. I really don't know how renowned you are, but to me, your sets up's were pure genius. Thanks for the tips, I can't wait to try them. Demetrius L. | Thanks for the tutorial, and great photos! I'm interested in trying pictures of water drops, so hopefully I can figure out a way to do this with my superzoom (Lumix DMC-FZ18) If I can't, well, another reason to buy an SLR.

| Thanks for quite a good and useful ideas.
Here's my Q though: What could go wrong with 2 combined things instead of stretching the optic bundle (and even providing a slack): `1. a tube, to direct de light from the flash to 2. a 45 degree positioned mirror right above the ring? |
